Basic Upper Body Workout Combo #1

These are the six exercises that changed my life! This is one of the standard upper body workout routines I use for strength & appearance. I have been using it for decades now as it's a basic, middle of the road routine that is great for beginners and for maintenance if you are an advanced or intermediate lifter. If you want to tweak it more for strength, raise the weights and drop the rep range to 6-8 reps per set on all exercises. If you want to tweak this for aesthetics lower the wrights and raise the rep range to 12-15 per set.

Examples of each exercise is shown in the video above. Take breaks between 90 seconds to 2 minutes between each set.

Here is the Workout Routine

Exercise 1 (Chest/Pectorals):
Benchpress
3 sets
10 reps each


Exercise 2 (Chest/Outter & Inner Pecs):
Butterflies (using machine)
3 sets
10 reps each


Exercise 3 (Arms[front]/Biceps):
Barbell Curls
3 sets
10 reps each


Exercise 4 (Arms[back]/Triceps):
Cable Triceps Extensions
3 sets
10 reps each


Exercise 5 (Shoulders/Deltoids):
Front & Lateral Raises Combo
3 sets
10 reps each


Exercise 6 (Neck/Traps):
Dumbbell Shrugs
3 sets
10 reps each


Optional (abs):
Crunches
3 sets
25 reps each

I have used it for a long time @w8liftinglady. It's kind of my default routine when I am not working on any goal in particular.
