For me, it's definantly diet...avoiding sugar and refraining from emotional eating. MAJOR struggle for me.

I agree with Madelaine, diet is hard. I struggle with avoiding sugar because I love it and it is in so many foods. It is also time for me. If i had more time to workout I would probably do it more often.

I wish there were easy answers for you Erica and Madeline; but unfortunately you just have to make the decision that sugar is bad for you and you aren't going to eat it. Eventually you get used to not having it, but only after you have broken the cycle.

Time for me. I just don't have time to get to a gym or workout at home.

I agree Corey. I also have increased my fruit intake to help satisisfy my sweet cravings. Watermelon has been my go to so far and it really does help.

Maybe you can try fruit as well Erica...?

Watermelon is a great choice Madelaine. It's filling, sweet, and full of water and fiber. I use watermelon as well to curb my appetite and satisfy my sweet tooth.

Accountability. I work out alone and am hoping to meet more people like you coach in Big Strong U and use this community to be more accountable to some.

Family life. So much to do on a daily basis that cuts into my scheduled workout times.

Thank you Madelaine. I will try adding more fruit to my diet and see how that helps.

You're welcome Erica...like Corey said, it is very filling and nice and sweet! I usually am able to eliminate the craving with watermelon...sometimes apples too.

For you guys struggling to keep up with your workouts, I do to and have found it helpful to post my completed workouts here to hold myself accountable with Corey because I know he'll see them. So far it's worked very well for me. I've also started including my daily food log as a means of accountability as well.

Consistency is my struggle. Not allowing life to stop me from taking care of my body

I need to make my committment and stay with it. I know if i can get through the first few weeks without backing off then i will be more confident in completion of this journey. I need help over the first few hurdles. I dont have a problem with eating strict diet at all, so i hope thats a plus for me. I have a high desire to become fit.

Consistency is one of the biggest struggles most people face Cortez and Jeanette. The good news is that it works in both directions. The more consistent you are in chasing a goal, the more likely it is to become a habit. Then, the longer you keep up with a habit, it eventually becomes a lifestyle. And that is the goal at this point; to turn consistency into habits, and then turn those habits into your new, FIT lifestyle!
